Spend some time with your little one, doing yoga to a story and songs while helping their body and brain development in a fun way! Recommended for ages 2 to 5 years and their family. Cost is $8/class for single student for the session; $10/class for families for a session; $10/single student for a drop in; $15/for a family drop in. CR Parks and Recreation Movie Night: Moana |  6:30-9:30 p.m. @ Northwest Recreation Center

It’s movie night at the Northwest Recreation Center! Bring your blankets, bean bags or chairs to the gym and enjoy Disney’s “Moana” while you snack on free popcorn and water! Come early and enjoy activities at the center before the movie! Free & open to the public.

Paddington Storytime  |  11:00-11:30 a.m. @ Barnes & Noble (on Collins Road in CR)

Over 50 years ago, a small bear set out on the adventure of a lifetime. Since then, Paddington has charmed readers around the world with his earnest good intentions and humorous misadventures. Join us for Storytime featuring this beloved classic, in theaters now. Free & open to the public.

2nd Saturday Music |  9:15-10:00 a.m.  OR  10:15 – 11:00 a.m. @ Baby Time

Sing, play, listen, laugh, move, learn and bond with your little one. We will have fun tickling our senses while playing with (learning!) music, language, motor, and pre-academic skills. Lisa is a board-certified music therapist – all children are welcome! Recomended for ages baby – preschool. Register HERE. Tickets are $12.50 per child. Siblings may attend at half-price. Pied Piper Concert |  10:30-11:30 a.m. @ Marion Public Library

Join Orchestra Iowa’s as they introduce children to the instruments of the orchestra! These fun and educational Pied Piper Concerts offer children the opportunity to enjoy an up-close and personal. Free & open to the public. Recommended for preschool age children.

Sunday, January 14th

Blanket Drive |  1:00 -4:00 p.m @ Hiawatha Public Library

Kid-Powered Kindness believes kids have the power to make the world a better place. Please join us in this kid-driven project to collect blankets for homeless families in our community. Blankets will be donated to Family Promise of Linn County. Want to be even more hands on? Check out the blanket making event at the library Jan. 15Open house event going on DAILY from now until February 2nd. Please bring a new or gently used blanket to donate. Make sure to check the library hours before dropping blankets off.  The collection box is just across from the checkout desk.
